We visit some of the most pristine locations in the world; some are home to a local population less fortunate
than ours, or to fragile environments and ecosystems.

All too often, their plight goes unseen, whether it’s the devastation in marine environments caused by ghost nets in the Indian Ocean, leopards and cheetahs being poisoned in Botswana,

rhinos massacred for their horns, or Cape Town’s hungry street children.

World Journeys is proud to support a number of charitable organisations, and we donate to support their quest to minimise humankind’s impact on the environment, and bring relief to those in need.

Join us in aiding these noble organisations to keep our world beautiful and prosperous so that future generations can enjoy inspiring journeys of their own.

Africa Foundation

Just as Africa’s wilderness and wildlife need protection, so too do the communities who live in these wild places. Africa Foundation ensures communities see meaningful benefits from conservation, through effective consultation and collaboration.

AfriCat Foundation

When our groups travel to Namibia, they always visit AfriCat, a Foundation which strives towards the long-term survival of Namibia’s predators. It has a rehabilitation centre for leopards and cheetahs and educates farmers on co-existing with wildlife.

Bridging the Gap Mekong Trust

For every booking on a Mekong riverboat cruise a donation is made to help build and sustain village schools along the river. These donations buy desks, textbooks, pads and pencils, build new buildings, concrete dirt floors and replace roofs.

Pack for a Purpose

Make your travels meaningful.
Have a big impact in the communities you visit. Simply use a small amount of space in your luggage to pack supplies needed by community projects around the world.

Rhinos Without Borders

This programme relocates white and black rhinos from the high density parks in South Africa, to parks in Botswana. These parks are more difficult for poachers to access.

StreetSmart

StreetSmart partners with select restaurants and hotels in South Africa where you can dine, stay, or taste wine, and donate to help a street child.

The Olive Ridley Project

The Olive Ridley Project runs sea turtle rescue centres that rehabilitate turtles caught in ghost nets in the Indian Ocean.
