Day 1: Fairbanks > Coldfoot Depart Fairbanks at 5.30am by ground tour in your ground tour vehicles. Explore up close the amazing arctic tundra and feel the veins of ice just beneath the surface. Experience the mighty Yukon River. Marvel at the majestic beauty of the northland's most famous famous waterway and learn of the river's storied past. View the remarkable Trans Alaska Pipeline. Cross over the Arctic Circle and receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate.

Arrive in Coldfoot and settle in for your 1 night stay.

Day 2: Coldfoot > Fairbanks Explore the region on your own or participate in one or more optional tours available in Coldfoot. Depart Coldfoot at approximately 4pm - 5pm and return to Fairbanks by small plane at 5pm - 6pm.

Please Note:

Accommodation: Overnight accommodations consist of very basic, clean rooms with two twin beds that are extremely rustic by urban standards. There are no private bathrooms in the rooms. There are private toilet and shower stalls in separate men's and women's facilities that are shared among guests.

Luggage restriction: All luggage you bring with you will be weighed as part of the check in process. This includes overnight bags, purses, camera bags, and day packs. Guests are limited to 15-20 pounds (6.5 - 9 kilos)per person. Luggage over 20 pounds/9 kilos may need to be stored in Fairbanks.

Optional Excursions

Wiseman Wilderness Community Visit (3 hours) Visit the only year-round lived in community along the Dalton Highway. Learn of their historic past and present day lifestyle.

Koyukuk River Scenic Float (3 hours) Enjoy a quiet float down the Middle Fork Koyukuk River and enjoy the wilderness around you.

Arctic Mountain Safari (5 hours) Ground tour north into the Brooks Mountain Range on the Dalton Highway.

Anaktuvuk Pass Adventure (2 1/2 hours) Enjoy a flight through the Brooks Mountain Range to Anaktuvuk Pass, a Nunimuit Village surrounded by the Gates of the Arctic National Park.
