Churchill is located directly beneath the Auroral Oval making it one of the best places on Earth to witness Mother Nature's light show. The Northern Lights and Winter Nights adventure offers a unique programme in which travelers can enjoy watching the dancing skies from directly on the tundra, and experience the incredible culture and warmth of the town and people of Churchill.
Day 1: Arrive Winnipeg (D) Upon arrival into Winnipeg, make your own way to your accommodation. This evening meet your guide and fellow travelers at a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Winnipeg (B,L,D) After breakfast visit the Manitoba Museum renowned for its vivid portrayal of Manitoba's rich and colourful history, Planetarium shows and Science Gallery exhibits. Beginning with a planetarium presentation depicting the northern lights, followed by an interactive programmed called "Inuit: People of the North", which gives a deeper knowledge and understanding of the traditional lifestyles of the Inuit people. In the afternoon enjoy a guided private tour of the Museum, which focuses on galleries that complements the recently gained knowledge of Inuit communities and the history of the fur trade in the North.

Day 3: Winnipeg > Churchill (B,L,D) An early morning flight to Churchill. Upon arrival into Churchill enjoy a short interpretive tour of the area before checking into your hotel. In the afternoon your Interpretive guide will review some of the northern lights photography tips in preparation for the northern lights viewing. Later this evening head out on the Tundra Buggy across the Churchill River to the Aurora lounge where you can view the northern lights from inside or climb onto the rooftop observation deck for an unobstructed view.
Day 4: Churchill (B,L,D) After breakfast commence on your morning tour of Churchill. Driving past various points of interest in and around the surrounding area. Stopping at the Manitoba Conservation's Polar Bear Holding Facility. After lunch you will be taken to the Churchill's Itsanitaq Museum, home to an internationally recognized collection of Inuit art in stone, bone and ivory depicting the life and spirituality of the people deeply rooted in the north.
This evening take part in a very special culinary experience. From the town of Churchill embark on an official Tundra Buggy across the frozen Churchill river where you experience stunning cuisine under the northern lights (northern lights viewing weather permitting). Returning to your hotel.
Day 5: Churchill (B,L,D) Today commence on an interpretive snowshoeing programme led by a Churchill naturalist. Experience a trek through the Boreal forest, across Precambrian rock and along the shore of the Hudson Bay. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Churchill on your own. This evening head out of the Tundra Buggy to view the Northern Lights.
Day 6: Churchill (B,L,D) Morning at leisure to relax and enjoy Churchill. This afternoon depart on your dog sledding excursion led by a local dog musher . Learn the basics of dog sledding and the importance of dog sledding before taking a mile long ride through the Boreal forest. Later this evening head back out on the Tundra Buggy to view the Northern Lights.
Day 7: Churchill > Winnipeg (B,L,D) This morning visit Parks Canada Visitors Centre which has detailed displays that reveal the remarkable history of Churchill through wildlife dioramas and exhibits that portray the history of the fur trade in the area. Returning to the airport for your flight to Winnipeg
Overnight at Four Points Sheraton Hotel
Day 8: Winnipeg Tour concludes with checkout from your hotel.

This is our most well-rounded level of departure, with a mixture of cultural and wildlife adventures with fewer people. Maximum 20 guests per Tundra Buggy . This level of tour is led by a professional Interpretive Guide and offers guests the ability to focus on their adventures.
