Situated in the Sierra Madre Mountains, these UNESCO World Heritage listed canyons are over seven times larger than its American neighbour, the Grand Canyon. During your trip you will journey for several days aboard the wonderful Chihuahua al Pacifico train for more than 600 kilometres. Considered by experts to be the most dramatic train ride in the Western Hemisphere, along the way you will admire some awesome beauty.
Day 1: Los Mochis > El Fuerte Arrive Los Mochis Airport where you will be met for a short transfer to the town of El Fuerte.
Day 2: El Fuerte > Bauhichivo Start your epic train ride bound for Bauhichivo. Admire breathtaking views into the canyon and visit the Mission of Cerocahui, established by the Jesuits in 1680.
Day 3: Bauhichivo > Posada Barrancas Train to Posada Barrancas. Enjoy great views with a walk along the canyon rim accompanied by a local Indian family.
Day 4: Posada Barrancas > Creel Morning at leisure. In the afternoon re-board the Chihuahua al Pacifico train bound for Creel.
Day 5: Creel > Chihuahua Morning tour of the beautiful Lake Arareco. Visit the 18th century Mission Cusarare.
Day 6: Chihuahua Departure transfer to Chihuahua Airport.
