On this journey, begin in the wonderful city of Venice before heading into the Tuscan sun for a few days to explore. In Rome, embark on a 20 night cruise including exciting ports such as Dubrovnik, Santorini, Kusadasi, Naples, Provence, Barcelona, Seville and more. Wed 16: Auckland > Dubai Fly from Auckland to Dubai travelling overnight.
Thu 17: Dubai > Venice Arrive Dubai and take connecting flight to Venice. We transfer by private water taxi to our hotel on the Grand Canal.
Fri 18: Venice (B) Enjoy a walking tour to see St Mark's Square and Basilica, the Doge's Palace, Bridge of Sighs and Rialto Bridge. In the afternoon, visit the ancient Jewish Ghetto and stop at one of Venice's secret gardens, hidden behind the walls of a palace.
Sat 19: Venice (B) Private motor launch visit to Murano, centre of the glass manufacturing industry for centuries, and Burano famous for its brightly-coloured houses and hand-made embroidery.
Sun 20: Venice > Tuscany (B,D) Drive to Tuscany and check in to your 18th century hunting villa near the city of Lucca.
Mon 21: Cinque Terre (B) Today our guide will show us around the beautiful villages of the Cinque Terre. Colourful houses and ancient vineyards cling to steep terraces, fishing boats bob in harbours and trattorias serve seafood specialties.
Tue 22: Florence (B) Join our guide for a walking tour through the historic centre of Florence. The Old Bridge, Signoria Square, Santa Croce Square and Accademia Gallery are included today.
Wed 23: Tuscany (B,D) Morning at leisure and late this afternoon visit one of the centuries-old Quercetano olive groves for an olive oil tasting. Dinner this evening is in a lovely restaurant within the trees.
Thu 24: Siena & San Gimignano (B) Tour historic Siena's architectural highlights before visiting the amazingly well-preserved medieval town of San Gimignano. Later in the day, head to a local Tuscan winery for a tasting.
Fri 25: Tuscany > Rome (B,D) Transfer to Civitavecchia Port to board our cruise. Settle into our cabins and set sail this afternoon.

Sun 27: Dubrovnik (B,L,D) Dubrovnik seduces visitors with its polished limestone streets, theatrical architecture, scenic side streets, and charming cafes and restaurants. Take a wander around the historic centre.
Mon 28: Corfu (B,L,D) Bustling Corfu Town remains elegant, infused with culture and history. The rest of the island boasts stunning beaches backed by verdant mountains hiding traditional old villages.
Tues 29: Katakolon (B,L,D) In addition to Olympia, which is unmissable, the Peloponnese offers lesser-known ancient sites, natural wonders and an insight into rural Greek life. Take your time and explore.
Wed 30: Athens (B,L,D) Athens has attracted adventurers and classicists for centuries. This heritage is still alive and well: ancient structures neighbour apartments, performances are staged in old amphitheatres, and millenia-old monuments are scattered around the Acropolis.
Thu 01: Kusadasi (B,L,D) Kusadasi is the gateway to one of the most legendary cities of the ancient world "“ Ephesus. St Paul preached in its Great Theatre, while the facade of the Celsus Library survives, a testament to the city's role as a centre of learning and culture.
Fri 02: Santorini (B,L,D) Santorini is the jewel in the crown of the Cyclades. Delve into the art, food and legendary wines of this island that some believe may have been the site of the lost civilisation of Atlantis.

Sun 04: Naples (B,L,D) Home to world-class museums and attractions, from Naples you can also explore the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Sorrento, the Amalfi coast and Capri are also within reach!
Mon 05: Rome (B,L,D) Fill your day with museums, churches, archaeological sites, traditional trattorias, artisan shops and, of course, gelato. The Colosseum and the Vatican are the superstar attractions, but there are plenty of quieter gems to explore.

Wed 07: Cartagena (B,L,D) Cartagena is known for its architecture, from striking Art Nouveau buildings to the ancient Roman Theatre. Perhaps try one of the tapas bars as calamari, mussels and the freshest fish are some of the tasty benefits of this city's seaside location.
Thu 08: Gibraltar (B,L,D) With a history that includes Moorish, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and English influences, this tiny British Overseas Territory is most famous for the giant Jurassic limestone rock soaring above the main commercial and residential areas.
Fri 09: Cadiz (Seville) (B,L,D) Old town Cadiz is a warren of cobbled streets lined with white and ochre houses. This ancient city has a great food market, a grand Art Nouveau theatre, a gorgeous cathedral, impressive fortifications, and a picturesque beach, La Caleta.
Sat 10: At sea (B,L,D)
Sun 11: Barcelona (B,L,D) Gaudi and Picasso both called Barcelona home. Explore the historic neighbourhoods, Modernisme and world-renowned art museums, galleries and local crafts shops "“ some of which are centuries old and stock traditional Catalan wares.
Mon 12: Marseille (B,L,D) Explore the ancient trade city of Marseille, from its 19th century cathedral to the winding streets of Le Panier and the Baroque edifices of the shopping street, La CanebiÃ¨re.
Tue 13: Monte Carlo (B,L,D) The coastal city of Monte Carlo still draws an international jet-set crowd. The Palace commands from Monaco-ville, called Le Rocher by locals, and high-rises make the most of precious land with public elevators in lieu of sidewalks.
Wed 14: Livorno (B,L,D) Gateway to Pisa, Florence and the rest of Tuscany, Livorno is characterised by its solid 16th century Fortezza and the charming canal network, Venezia Nuova. It's also famous for cacciucco, a spicy fish stew.
Thu 15: Rome > Dubai (B) Disembark and transfer to the airport for the flight to Dubai, arriving late this evening. Transit to our onward flight.
Fri 16: Dubai > Auckland
Sat 17: Auckland Early morning arrival in Auckland.
