Day 1: Ljubljana Welcome to Slovenia! Transfer to the campervan pick up point before enjoying dinner in one of the best restaurants in Ljubljana - and one of the 100 best restaurants in the world. The chef bases his dishes on the four elements: earth, water, air and fire. Overnight in the Ljubljana area in a campsite of your choice.
Day 2: Ljubljana > Bled Visit the old city centre of Ljubljana including the picturesque open-air Central Market, the Three Bridges, Baroque Town Hall, and Robba's Fountain. Continue to Ljubljana castle, a mighty medieval fortress situated on the hill overlooking the old town. Head to Bled and take a pletna to the island in the middle of the lake. Visit a small church and see a demonstration of how to make the traditional Slovenian dessert - potica. Overnight in the Bled area in a campsite of your choice.
Day 3: Bled > Soca Valley > Kobaird > Nova Gorica Drive to Soca Valley and Kobarid. Stop at local ecological farm to learn about the tradition of cheese making. Visit the farm and cheese production as well as taste the local cheese and other dairy products. Take a walking tour of Kobarid, then drive south through the green hills of Brda filled with vineyards and orchids. Stop by a local winery and discover the local bouquets of world renowned wines. Overnight in the Nova Gorica area in a campsite of your choice.
Day 4: Nova Gorica > Vipava Valley > Postonja Discover Vipava Valley by stopping by a local herbal workshop and learn their traditional uses for cooking, medicine and wellness. Continue to Zemono Manor house (Dvorec Zemono), where your meal will be prepared by chef Tomaz Kavcic, known for his unique cuisine, a harmony of traditional food with a modern twist. After lunch, continue towards Postojna, home to one of the largest caves in Europe, to explore the fantastic subterranean world of Postojna cave by miniature electric train. Overnight in the Postojna area in a campsite of your choice.
Day 5: Postonja > Piran > Portoroz Drive to the Slovenian coastal city of Piran, known for its Venetian architecture and being the birthplace of Giuseppe Tartini. Meet your local guide and enjoy a sightseeing tour of this beautiful town, followed by lunch on the coast at a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit a local fish farm and discover how the famous Piran sea bass is bred following sustainable practice. Overnight in the Slovenia coastal area in a campsite of your choice.
Day 6: Portoroz > Porec > Rovinj > Pula Say goodbye to Slovenia and drive south to the historic old town of Porec to explore the 6th century Euphrasian Basilica complex famous for its gem-studded Byzantine mosaics. Continue along the Istrian coast to Rovinj, and in the afternoon drive down to the ancient town of Pula for overnight in a campsite of your choice.
Day 7: Pula > Motovun > Opatija Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Pula before driving north into the Istrian peninsula where truffles can be found. Motovun forest is one of the largest natural habitats of truffles so you will be able to enjoy a delicious truffle lunch before continuing to Opatija, a traditional beach resort on the Kvarner Gulf. Overnight in the Opatija area in a campsite of your choice.
Day 8: Opatija > Plitvice Visit the local chocolate factory before driving to the magnificent Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take a walking tour around several of the lower lakes, enjoying the breathtaking scenery of terraced lakes, thickly wooded mountains, and lush vegetation. Overnight in the Plitvice area in a campsite of your choice.
Day 9: Plitvice > Zagreb After breakfast, drive to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, and join a cooking class of the traditional cheese-filled pastry called 'Strukli'. Walk to the Dolac farmer's market and in the afternoon join your guide for a sightseeing tour of Zagreb. With a history dating back to 1094, there is much to see here. In the Upper Town, snap photos of the Cathedral of Mary's Assumption and Gothic Church of St Mark. Next, visit the Lower Town featuring the main square of Jelacic. Dinner is in restaurant Gallo and overnight in the Zagreb area in a campsite of your choice.
Day 10: Zagreb > Ljubljana Drive to the campervan drop off point where you will meet your driver and transfer to Ljubljana airport.
