Inviting, indulgent accommodation and refined Andean cuisine ensure an unforgettable journey. Observatory, Lounge, Spa and two Dining cars are the perfect places to unwind, designed to offer modern comfort with traditional flourishes.
"I wanted to connect the interior with the location and make it a holistic journey of discovery. The 'journey' starts with the immediate surroundings - a place to calm the senses, enable a new state of 'slow living' and relaxation whilst connecting with nature. Colours and textures are inspired by Peruvian nature - soft Ivory Alpaca tones, Andean slate greys and woven textures and handicrafts - inspirations from the interior designer Inge Moor, The Gallery, London. Accommodation on board consists of 2 deluxe double bed cabins, 6 junior double bed cabins, 11 twin bed cabins and 5 bunk bed cabins - all with their own private facilities.
Day 1 (Tues): Cuzco Board the train in Cuzco, former capital of the Inca Empire, for your 11.00am departure. Settle into your private cabin, and take the time to relax into the indulgent atmosphere of the train. Perhaps head to the Observatory Car, order a classic Pisco Sour, and watch the scenery unfold. Later, take a seat in one of the two sophisticated dining cars for a delicious lunch. Anticipate refined Andean specialties served with contemporary flair. As the afternoon continues, disembark for an excursion to Raqchi. Once a defensive stronghold of the Inca Empire, today the area is a captivating archaeological site brimming with history. Return to the train for afternoon tea as your journey southeast continues. As evening descends, savour a picturesque sunset framed by the majestic La Raya mountains. As the train continues to Lake Titicaca station, enjoy a delicious dinner on board. Complete your evening in the Lounge Car trading stories with your fellow travellers before retiring to the comfort of your cabin.
