Belmond Andean Explorer is South America's first luxury sleeper train, transporting just 46 guests through Peru in style. Travel between Cuzco to Puno in luxury and style, savouring unforgettable indulgence as you are whisked through Peru's most spectacular destinations, including the spellbinding Lake Titicaca.

Inviting, indulgent accommodation and refined Andean cuisine guests can also enjoy the observatory, lounge, spa and two dining cars.

The Train: Twin or double cabins offer a soothing blend of signature Peruvian accents and in-built oxygen for additional comfort at high altitudes. All cabins feature en suite bathroom with shower, washbasin and water closet, wardrobe, air conditioning, oxygen tanks and masks, robe and slippers, medical assistance onboard.

Bunk Bed Cabins: These cozy cabins are 5.5m2 in size featureing a long banquette that transforms into comfortable upper and lower single berths.

Twin Bed Cabins: During the day, these 7.42m2 cabins are configured with a long banquette and comfy seats. Stewards convert this into two ground-level single beds come nightfall.

Suite Cabins: These cabins feature a plush double bed and cozy seating area with two chairs and a table. They are also fitted with a compact wardrobe, en suite with shower, and washbasin.

Day 1: Cuzco Board the train in Cuzco, former capital of the Inca Empire, for your 11.00am departure. Settle into your private cabin, and take the time to relax into the indulgent atmosphere of the train. Perhaps head to the Observatory Car, order a classic Pisco Sour, and watch the scenery unfold. Later, take a seat in one of the two sophisticated dining cars for a delicious lunch. Anticipate refined Andean specialties served with contemporary flair. As the afternoon continues, disembark for an excursion to Raqchi. Once a defensive stronghold of the Inca Empire, today the area is a captivating archaeological site brimming with history. Return to the train for afternoon tea as your journey southeast continues. As evening descends, savour a picturesque sunset framed by the majestic La Raya mountains. As the train continues to Lake Titicaca station, enjoy a delicious dinner on board. Complete your evening in the Lounge Car trading stories with your fellow travellers before retiring to the comfort of your cabin.

Day 2: Lake Titicaca Wake early and take in a spectacular scene as the sun rises across Lake Titicaca. Afterwards breakfast is served on board before disembarking the train after it arrives at 8.00am. Bid the crew farewell and continue with your onward travel arrangements to the airport in Juliaca, onto Bolivia or for an additional cost, tour Lake Titicaca, including the islands of Uros and Taquile.

Belmond do not have fixed prices for this itinerary and work on a system of 'dynamic pricing'. Prices are indicative only, and may only be confirmed at the time of booking. This generally means the earlier you book, the cheaper the cost will be. As the train becomes more heavily booked, the unsold cabins on board become more expensive. Please contact World Journeys and we will be able to provide a quotation for you on the date required.
