Introduction
Explore one of the world’s most intriguing environments; five million acres of protected, flooded Amazonian jungle offering an abundance of natural wonders, dramatic scenery, indigenous cultural history and extraordinary flora and fauna.
Enjoy the comfort and ambiance aboard deluxe and environmentally friendly small river vessels accommodating between 8 to 41 guests, each offering an unforgettable experience in one of the planet’s last unspoiled wilderness areas.
There are three luxury vessels to choose from each offering 3 and 4 night itineraries. They offer the epitome of comfort and style, expert naturalist guides and excellent service. Award winning gourmet meals on board allow you to enjoy some of the finest Peruvian cuisine and enjoy sampling Amazonian delicacies.
Delfin I: Intimate and exclusive with understated luxury from a choice of 4 very spacious suites. All have private balconies and two have their own private whirlpool bath in which you may sit and enjoy views of the river and jungle. The 3 night Delfin I itineraries also include the opportunity to experience one of the longest jungle canopy walkways in the world.
Delfin II: Offers 14 large guest suites all of which have river views including 4 which enjoy 180 degree panoramic windows. Specialist lecture areas or the hammock deck provide a fabulous place to relax for a drink at the end of your day exploring the very best that the Amazon has to offer.
Delfin III: The largest vessel and newest addition to the fleet offers 21 large guest suites all of which have river views. Specialist lecture areas or the hammock deck provide a fabulous place to relax for a drink at the end of your day exploring the very best that the Amazon has to offer. The top deck features beautiful indoor and outdoor lounge, a sundeck with plunge pool, a spa and gym, and of course the bar.
The seasons: There are two distinct seasons throughout the year.
Dry (low water) Season: May to November
The Amazon is a rainforest so there is still rain in this period! However with lower river levels the paths are accessible allowing you to penetrate deep into the jungle on foot. It is also a time of year when dozens of species of migratory birds are found in addition to the prolific array of those who live in the jungle throughout the year.
Flooded (high water) Season: December to April
Somewhat cooler and wetter, the water level is on average 7 metres higher than the ‘dry’ season which means every river and creek is navigable. You are also closer to the jungle canopy making it a little easier to spot mammals and birds.
Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive Iquitos
Arrival transfer to your luxury river cruise boat. Enjoy the best of Amazonian-Peruvian cuisine before a briefing from your guides.

In the high water season enjoy black water stream exploration aboard skiffs from which you will spot parrots, macaws, hawks, butterflies, monkeys and iguanas. During the dry season visit and explore two different kinds of ecosystems – the flooded forest and also jungle paths explored on foot with exceptional bird watching opportunities. In the afternoon head by skiff to a spectacular spot within the Pacaya-Samiria Reserve, where you will enjoy an unforgettable encounter and opportunity to swim among the gray and pink river dolphins.
Day 3 : Atun Poza Lake > Rio Pacaya
