Bettles is an awesome destination or starting point for your Arctic and Brooks Range adventure. Built in 1952, the original Bettles Lodge became recognized as a National Historic Site in the year 1996. The lodge offers a billiard room with pool table, full service kitchen and gift shop with local native arts & crafts. Activities and comfortable surroundings to keep everyone entertained and relaxed. Take it all in with a cold beverage on the screened in porch, a refuge against any mosquito during the summer months. Bettles is far from the beaten path, a real Alaskan Lodge with plenty of character! You can imagine yourself in the 1950's when the Historic Lodge rooms were first built to house bush pilots and dog team drivers carrying the mail.
