• Victoria Falls • Sapi Private Reserve • Zambezi National Park
In the heart of Southern Africa, land-locked Zimbabwe is a vibrant country with dramatic landscapes, and abundant wildlife. Combine one of Zimbabwe's lesser known areas with a stay at Sapi Explorers Camp in the 120,000 hectare private Sapi Reserve, located on the eastern boundary of the Mana Pools Reserve. Also enjoy a stay in the Zambezi National Park in the luxurious Mpala Jena Camp with its easy access to Victoria Falls. Explore these two areas by vehicle as well as, in the footsteps of early explorers, guided on foot, canoe and boat.
Day 01: Victoria Falls > Sapi Private Reserve On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, board your light aircraft flight to Sapi reserve and transfer to your Camp for your 4 night stay. Sapi Explorers Camp offers a safari experience reminiscent of the old African explorers, the perfect combination of romance, adventure and discovery. With just 5 tented suites perfectly located along the Zambezi River, the camp offers a base to explore the Sapi Reserve, Mana Pools and the Zambezi River.
Day 02 - 04: Sapi Private Reserve Spend three full days exploring one of Africa's remote wilderness areas on foot and on wildlife-viewing drives as well as canoeing and boating on the Zambezi River. Traverse Sapi's diverse terrain by vehicle or on foot, discovering the legendary Mtawatawa Pan, and encountering some of Africa's largest wildlife species. You have the opportunity to experience up-close encounters with elephant, lion, leopard, hyena, wild dog, buffalo, eland and zebra. This is also prime bird watching country and opportunities abound for guests to spot resident and migrant species especially in the early morning and late afternoons. Explore the Zambezi River by canoe and boat, watch as wildlife congregates along the river to drink and marvel at the setting of the African sun.
Day 05: Sapi Private Reserve > Victoria Falls > Zambezi National Park Return to Victoria Falls by light aircraft, and then transfer by road onto Mpala Jena Camp. This exquisite tented camp is located in a private concession within Zambezi National Park overlooking a beautiful stretch of Zambezi River and in the shade of indigenous trees. Featuring four Moroccan inspired tents, perfectly shaded by sausage and water berry trees, the flowing beige canvas lends itself to elegance and simplicity.
Day 06: Zambezi National Park Revel in this wild habitat with exciting activities including guided game drives early in the morning, and afternoon drives that go on after dark, so you are able to experience elusive nocturnal sightings. If you are an avid photographer, embark on a photographic safari, or go on trip to the majestic Victoria Falls, to witness its dramatic curtain of tumbling of water. Interact and engage with local communities on a heart-warming cultural village tour, or meander around the charming Victoria Falls town.
Day 07: Zambezi National Park > Victoria Falls Today depart the Camp and transfer back to Victoria Falls for your onwards flights or maybe extend your trip into Zambia or Botswana.
