Introduction
Explore one of the largest Maldives luxury resort islands, nestled in the pristine beauty of Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Just a select number of private Pool Beach Villas and Residences grace this island. The majority are over-water villas, scattered like pearls across the azure waves. More than 70% of the island remains a naturally lush paradise, interwoven with verdant walking trails and white sand beaches, unspoiled by construction. Diving and snorkelling sites beckon, including Hanifaru Bay, which attracts the world’s largest aggregations of manta rays.
As one of the few remaining Maldivian-owned resorts, Amilla is proud to showcase the unique culture and talent that abounds. From a bespoke local island tour to Maldivian cuisine and the annual Cultural Week, guests can truly feel that they are at home in the Maldives.
With a range of gorgeous villas, our personal favourites are:
Lagoon Water Pool Villa
A selection of 1 bedroom (220sqm) or 2 bedroom (350sqm) villas, each with their own 4.7 x 4.2 metres pool
Beach Pool Villa
A selection of 1 bedroom (470sqm) or 2 bedroom (530sqm) villas, each with their own 10.3 x 2.9 metres pool
Itinerary
Amilla Resort
A UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve; Baa Atoll teams with marine life. From July to October, manta rays aggregate at Hanifaru Bay, just 10 minutes by boat. Amilla boasts an extensive house reef offering excellent snorkelling. This lush island was for many years used for agriculture and retains 70% of its natural jungle. The island’s 2500
coconut trees produce bounty in the on-island coconut processing facility. Furthermore, herbs, vegetables and fruit are also grown on the island, and are used in the making of drinks such as kombucha, as well as herbal remedies.
Dining
Guests on all meal plans at Amilla can dine at any of the resort’s restaurants, which will delight you with a range of indulgent dishes as well as cuisine made from ethical, homemade and homegrown ingredients. The award-winning Wellness Your Way menus offer the Maldives’ widest range of dietary lifestyle dishes, complemented by the country’s most extensive fitness facilities. The ‘Dine Around Inclusive’ package offers added value such as in-villa dining, discounts on the spa and activities etc.
Wellness Packages
A choice of wellness packages are tailored to work around your holiday – please enquire for details.
Activities
An array of live entertainment, events and authentic cultural immersions are on offer to guests. There is a kids’ club, teens’ programme and an extensive weekly activity programme. Discover a host of water-sports activities, from parasailing to wakeboarding. Land-based games such as beach volleyball, badminton, tennis, and football. Many of the activities are included, with others requiring a small charge.
Sustainability
Amilla aims for sustainable luxury. From taking care of the endangered bird that nests on the island, to using ocean-bound plastic fabric to make beach bags or compostable
coffee pods and cups, sustainability is part of the everyday decision-making.
