Ol Donyo Lodge
Set deep in the wilderness between Amboseli and Tsavo National Parks. Perched on a hillside, the lodge has fantastic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and out across the classic savannahs below. All suites have plunge pools and stunning star beds, where you can sleep out under the canopy of stars and listen to the hyenas and lions. Constructed of local thatch the suites blend seamlessly with the environment.
You will be spoilt for choice on how to spend your days at Ol Donyo! Choose from cultural visits, game drives, hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. Add to this the lodge’s creature comforts of fine dining, massage, infinity pool, star beds and multiple lounges, and it is a place to relax and unwind for days on end.
Mara Expedition Camp
This small camp is hidden amidst the thick riverine forest trees, that you probably won’t see Mara Expedition Camp until you’ve actually entered it. Located in a secluded corner of an acacia forest, this small-scale safari camp consists of only five luxury safari tents and one family tent shaded by a forest canopy. It’s the ideal intimate African safari home base for exceptional sunrise and sunset safari drives and unforgettable game viewing.
Itinerary
Day 1 : Nairobi > Ol Donyo
Arrive at Wilson Airport in Nairobi and check in for your onward flight to Tsavo West Airstrip. Drive to Chyulu Hills National Park where you will enjoy a three-night stay at Ol Donyo Lodge. From high-altitude mist forest through to lava fields, then woodland to savannah, and ending at the famous kopjes, Ol Donyo is a paradise of discovery.
Days 2 & 3 : Ol Donyo
Each day, choose your mode of transport, be it on foot, by vehicle, on horseback or even by bike. There is no routine here and experiences are tailor-made for each guest. You can also simply laze around the pool, indulge in a massage, or go shopping. Another option is to meet the local Maasai and visit the school for a closer look at what makes the country of Kenya so colorful and dynamic.

Day 4 : Ol Donyo > Masai Mara National Reserve
Depart Ol Donyo lodge and take your onward flight to Mara Ol Kiombo Airstrip for a three night stay at Mara Expedition camp, located on the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy in southwestern Kenya.
NB: From 1 April to 15 June and 1 November to 19 December you will fly via Nairobi (Ol Donyo > Nairobi > Masai Mara).
Days 5 & 6 : Masai Mara National Reserve
For the next two nights you will enjoy safari drives and explore the extraordinary wildlife. Mara Expedition Camp offers access to exclusive and private conservancy land, away from the crowds, as well as the world-renowned Masai Mara, home to the Great Migration. We highly recommend a balloon flight across the Masai Mara (additional cost). Or you can join a cultural experience offered by the Naboisho Women’s Group (additional cost) and learn about their culture and their leather crafting skills.
Day 7 : Masai Mara National Reserve > Nairobi
Transfer to the airstrip for your onward flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
