Day 1 : Helsinki, Finland

Arrive in Helsinki and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 : Helsinki

After breakfas meet your guide for a private “Taste of Helsinki” walking tour. Hear fascinating food stories as well as hints on things to do, restaurants to visit and city landmarks. The tour includes a visit to the Senate Square, the market place, the Vanha Kauppahalli (Food Hall), where 4 tastings are included (on days where the Food Hall is not open, you will enjoy this at a cafe instead).

Day 3 : Helsinki > Stockholm, Sweden

After breakfast this morning enjoy some free time to further explore the city, before your overnight cruise to Stockholm, with dinner onboard.

Day 4 : Stockholm

Enjoy breakfast onboard before disembarking, and transferring to your Stockholm hotel to check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5 : Stockholm

This morning join a small-group guided Nordic Food Walk which takes you on an adventurous journey through the tastes, flavours, delights and historical significance of Swedish cuisine! Starting off in the Östermalm area, popular with the rich and famous, you are introduced to the traditions of Swedish food, from richly flavoured and exquisite cheeses to game meat, accompanied by beer which has been crowned “The Gold of The North”. Enjoy a welcome to the world of Swedish delights at the high end Östermalms Market Hall.

Heading towards the heart of the city you then indulge in a traditional Swedish lunch. Along the way you are introduced to a gem of the Nordic kitchen; the meatball! You will learn what types of potatoes to serve with it, why there are specific jams to go with it, and other fun facts. Moving on you are guided through the beautiful Kings Garden, passing by the area that Vogue Magazine voted the “third coolest district in the world”.

The tour will end in the Old Town, an area that dates back to the 13th century and consists of medieval alleyways and architecture. Here you are treated to some traditional candy and sweets. NB: Vegetarian options can be arranged, but unfortunately a 100% vegan menu cannot be offered due to the variety of the tastings.

Day 6 : Stockholm > Copenhagen, Denmark

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the train station for you train journey to Copenhagen. On arrival transfer to your hotel for check-in.

Day 7 : Copenhagen

After breakfast at your hotel, join a small-group Culinary Experience food tour to learn about and experience Denmark’s burgeoning cuisine and restaurant scene! With a guide, learn about the city’s reputation for fresh, light and seasonal cuisine with natural products. Seek out the locals’ favourite eateries and markets. Taste gourmet cheeses, local open rye bread sandwiches, organic hot dogs, delicious craft beers and organic gourmet chocolate – depending on the season. NB: Again, a vegetarian but not vegan menu may be arranged on request.

Day 8 : Copenhagen

This morning is at leisure, to explore more of the city before your overnight cruise to Oslo, enjoying dinner onboard.

Day 9 : Oslo, Norway

Enjoy breakfast onboard before disembarking, and transfer to your hotel in Oslo to check-in. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 10 : Oslo

The morning is at leisure. This afternoon join a small-group Alternative Culture and Street Food Tour to experience a hidden side of Oslo and taste some of the best Norwegian street food dishes. You will be taken to the real alternative side of Oslo and experience underground culture and the opportunity to get a taste of Oslo’s culinary highlights. At a variety of locations enjoy tasting a range of Norwegian treats – from typical Norwegian cured delicacies, amazing waffles with brown cheese and special Oslo soda and Norwegian hot dogs!

Day 11 : Oslo > Flåm

After breakfast at your hotel you will transfer to the railway station for today’s spectacular journey to Flåm. Start with a train ride on the Bergensbanen (Bergen Line), over the rugged Hardangervidda mountain plateau. From the Myrdal junction, at 866m above sea level, continue on the famous Flåm Railway (Flåmsbana), with breathtaking scenery as the vintage rail cars weave their way down the mountains on a 20km journey to the idyllic fjord village of Flåm, with a photo-stop at the dazzling Kjosfossen waterfall. Overnight in Flåm.

Day 12 : Flåm > Bergen

This morning after breakfast enjoy a 2-hour fjord cruise from Flåm to Gudvangen, gliding between the steep mountainsides on an open-deck ferry. From Gudvangen transfer by coach to Voss from where you will reconnect to the Bergen Railway for the final part of this scenic journey. On arrival transfer to your hotel to overnight.

Day 13 : Bergen

This morning is at leisure to explore the picturesque harbour town of Bergen. This evening enjoy a cruise on the scenic fjord, then head for a famed seafood restaurant for a delicious 5-course dinner befitting your last night on tour. Cornelius Seafood Restaurant is situated right by the sea on a small island with spectacular views of the fjord, mountains, skerries, passing boats, and ships. Inspired by the weather of the day, Cornelius serves its famous Meteorological Menu of exquisite seafood and trimmings, prepared using innovative culinary techniques and with a genuine passion for seafood. What’s on the menu is based on what is caught by the local fishermen.

Day 14 : Bergen

Arrangements conclude after breakfast at your hotel.
