Itinerary
Day 1 : Madrid > Segovia
On arrival in Madrid, after check in at your hotel you will be welcomed by your local guide. Begin exploring the city on a tapas tour, where you will wander the streets and enjoy tasting samples. Later, drive to Segovia, known for its aqueduct, palace and cathedral, and also for its famous suckling pig. This evening, enjoy dinner in the Villena restaurant to celebrate your arrival.
Day 2 : Segovia > Ribera Del Duero
After breakfast, visit the La Granja Royal Palace, known as a popular summer residence of Spanish royals. After return to Segovia for a half-day walking tour visiting Alcazar and Cathedral. Segovia was declared a UNESCO Heritage Site and once was an important military centre for the Romans, who left behind a magnificent aqueduct. Transfer to Ribera del Duero and enjoy dinner late afternoon. The Ribeira del Duero region boast’s testaments to its past through the various monasteries, castles wineries.
Day 3 : Ribera Del Duero > Salamanca
After breakfast, visit another winery before before being transferred to the Ambivium restaurant for a gastronomic experience and lunch. Later, continue your trip towards Salamanca, one of the most historical cities in Spain. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax before dinner.
Day 4 : Salamanca > Guijuelo > Madrid
Enjoy breakfast in your hotel before a sightseeing tour of Salamanca city. Begin in the Plaza Mayor, then visit the cathedrals and the university. You will enjoy the local delicacy, Jamon de Guijuelo (Spanish ham), and indulge in a delicious lunch with prime meat cuts and local wine. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Madrid, driving through the green landscapes of Sierra de Guadarrama.
On arrival in Madrid, check in to your hotel and freshen up before taking a walking tour of the city. Visit the Plaza Espana, the Royal Palace and the historical Habsburg city centre. This evening, dine in the hotel restaurant.
Day 5 : Madrid
After breakfast, explore the cultural side of Madrid. Walk down Gran Via Avenue where you will see many relevant buildings while making your way to the Prado Museum. Here you will explore the paintings and origins of this famous museum before returning to your hotel. Time at leisure to explore the city on your own.
Day 6 : Madrid
Enjoy your last morning in the city with a leisurely breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight where arrangements end.
