Introduction
Cruise into the heart of the Kenai Fjords and explore the magnificent Northwestern Fjord.
Enjoy abundant wildlife, stunning alpine and tidewater glaciers, and breathtaking scenery. As part of this tour, you will also visit the mountain town of Girdwood and take a scenic helicopter ride through this region. Visit Denali National Park, home to bears, moose, caribou and plenty of other wildlife.
Itinerary
Day 1 : Anchorage
Make your way to your accommodation. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 2 : Anchorage > Redoubt Bay > Anchorage
Fly by float plane to Redoubt Bay Lodge and enjoy half day guided tour with the opportunity to view Alaska’s black and brown bears in their natural habitat.
Day 3 : Anchorage > Girdwood
Explore Anchorage this morning on a private tour before travelling to the mountain town of Girdwood. Enjoy a helicopter ride, glacier landing, and dog sledding on snow in summer! The rest of your day is at leisure, with air tram tickets included for you to ride to the peak of Aleyska.
Day 4 : Girdwood > Seward
Today visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Centre which provides care and rehabilitation for injured and orphaned wildlife. Here you can safely get close to and observe some of Alaska’s land animals. Stop at Exit Glacier (time permitting) and continue to Seward.
Day 5 : Kenai Fjords National Park
Take a full day Kenai Fjords National Park cruise, visiting the magnificent Northwestern Fjord and its numerous glaciers.
Day 6 : Seward > Denali National Park
Travel by scheduled motor coach to Denali via a 90 minute stop in Anchorage.
Day 7 : Denali National Park
Today get a closer look at Alaska’s majestic Denali from the comfortable window seat of a small aircraft. Slip on your provided headset to hear commentary from your guide as you fly over the snow-covered peaks, jagged ridgelines and glacier carved valleys of Denali National Park and get within half a mile of the mountain peak. The rest of your day is free at leisure.
Day 8 : Denali National Park > Fairbanks
Choose from optional activities in the morning before transferring to the Alaska Railroad station and boarding the Denali Star to Fairbanks, enjoying the late afternoon scenery.
Day 9 : Fairbanks
Arrangements end after check-out today.
