Introduction
Explore three of the most diverse and spectacular areas in Zimbabwe on this exciting safari.
See Hwange National Park, the majestic shore of Lake Kariba and finish with a stay at Ruckomechi Camp on the mighty Zambezi River, adjacent to Mana Pools National Park. These areas are renowned for their incredible wildlife!
Itinerary
Days 1 & 2 : Victoria Falls > Hwange National Park
Fly from Victoria Falls Airport to Hwange National Park and spend two nights at Little Makalolo. Game viewing is good all year and includes lion, large herds of elephant, buffalo, leopard, white rhino, spotted hyena, southern giraffe, sable, blue wildebeest, impala, common waterbuck and reedbuck.
Up-close animal encounters and thrilling sightings. Little Makalolo offers an unrivalled safari experience in Hwange National Park, where the wonderful, wild scenery is matched by unforgettable wildlife sightings in this remote, exclusive region of Zimbabwe.
Days 3 & 4 : Hwange > Matusadona National Park
Fly to Changa Camp, which is located on a private concession in the famed Matusadona National Park on the shores of Lake Kariba for the next two nights. The area is a walker’s paradise and walks with one of the camp’s professional guides are a special feature. Game drives or cruises also take place and fishing on Lake Kariba is also available. Accommodation is in large East African-style luxury canvas tents overlooking the lake. A host of mammals and birds live in this diverse habitat. Leopard, lion, hyena, and cheetah are found here amongst a myriad of other wildlife.
Days 5 – 7 : Matusadona > Mana Pools National Park
Fly to Ruckomechi Camp, situated in an exclusive concession of Mana Pools National Park, in the heart of the Zambezi Valley. The setting of Ruckomechi, located amongst a large grove of acacia and ebony trees, allows for exploration of the rich and varied wildlife on early morning walks with an experienced guide, morning and afternoon game drives, night drives, canoeing and catch-and-release fishing.
Day 8 : Mana Pools > Victoria Falls
Return to Victoria Falls Airport by light aircraft where arrangements conclude.
